LVP Flooring Installation in Carmichael, CA

Luxury vinyl plank - 100% waterproof, durable, and beautiful in every room. The most popular flooring upgrade for Carmichael homes.

Why LVP Has Become the Go-To Flooring Choice

Luxury vinyl plank has overtaken laminate and carpet as the most requested flooring product I install in Carmichael homes - and it's easy to understand why. It looks like hardwood, performs better than hardwood in most residential situations, costs less than hardwood, and goes places hardwood can't. The 100% waterproof core means you can run the same floor from your living room through your kitchen and into your bathroom without any concerns about moisture damage.

Not all LVP is created equal, and not all LVP installations are either. Wear layer thickness, core type, and total plank thickness all affect how the floor performs and how long it lasts. Subfloor preparation still matters - thicker LVP is more forgiving, but a properly prepped subfloor is always the right starting point. I've installed LVP in hundreds of rooms and know exactly what it takes to get a result that looks great and holds up over time.

Whether you're replacing carpet in a bedroom, updating kitchen flooring, or going wall-to-wall throughout your home, I handle the full LVP installation - from removing existing flooring to installing the final transition strip. Free estimates, transparent pricing, and work that you're proud to show off.

LVP Installation Services

LVP Installation - Any Room

Full LVP installation throughout your home. Because it's waterproof, LVP works in every room - including kitchens, bathrooms, and laundry rooms where other flooring options can't go. One consistent floor throughout the whole house is now possible.

Bathroom & Kitchen LVP

Bathrooms and kitchens are where LVP shines. 100% waterproof construction means spills, moisture, and humidity won't damage the floor. I install LVP in these spaces with extra attention to toilet flange cuts, cabinet kickplate fits, and the clean transitions that wet areas demand.

Subfloor Preparation

Good LVP installation still requires a properly prepared subfloor. I inspect for and address squeaks, soft spots, high seams, and unevenness before installation. Thicker LVP (6mm+) is more forgiving, but proper prep is still the foundation of a long-lasting floor.

Old Flooring Removal

Whatever's down now - carpet, vinyl, old tile, laminate - I remove it and haul it away. Old adhesive residue and high spots get addressed so the new LVP has a proper surface.

Stair Nosing & Transitions

LVP transitions at doorways, where it meets different flooring types, and at stair nosings require specific trim pieces installed correctly. I source the right transitions and install them so they look intentional, not like an afterthought.

Whole-House LVP Installation

Replacing flooring throughout an entire home? I plan the layout so LVP runs in a consistent direction and pattern flows naturally from room to room - no awkward interruptions at doorways, no mismatched patterns between spaces.

Why LVP - and Why Professional Installation

100% Waterproof

Unlike laminate or hardwood, LVP won't swell, cup, or delaminate from moisture. Safe for bathrooms, kitchens, laundry rooms, and basements.

Most-Installed Product

LVP is the single most common flooring I install. I know the common failure points, which products perform best, and how to get consistent results across different subfloor conditions.

Right Thickness Matters

4mm LVP over a perfect subfloor is fine. 8mm+ LVP over a less-than-perfect subfloor is better. I'll recommend the right thickness for your specific subfloor conditions so you get a floor that feels solid.

Pet & Kid Friendly

Scratch-resistant wear layer, waterproof core, easy to clean. LVP handles pets, kids, and daily high-traffic use better than most flooring alternatives at the same price point.

LVP Product Guide - What the Specs Actually Mean

Comparing LVP products can be confusing. Here's what to focus on:

Wear Layer

6 mil is entry-level. 12 mil for residential. 20 mil+ for heavy pets or commercial use. Thicker wear layer = longer surface life.

Total Thickness

4mm-6mm works over flat, solid subfloors. 8mm-12mm is more forgiving over minor subfloor variations and feels more solid underfoot.

Core Type

WPC (wood plastic composite) is softer and warmer underfoot. SPC (stone plastic composite) is denser, more dimensionally stable, and better for temperature-variable spaces.

Locking System

Most LVP uses a click-lock floating system. No glue or nails - planks click together and the floor floats over the subfloor. Makes installation faster and replacement easier.
